Hunter S. Thompson famously spoke of the music business. This quote is often attributed to other businesses, but the original quote is as follows. "The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side." In this episode, Ric elaborates on this adage and takes a look at the business at the very bottom level.

For the past three years, Radio Memphis existed in the back of a house in midtown Memphis. Not any more. The station has now moved into a really special place. Episode 37: It's A Conspiracy
Sunday Oct 26, 2014
Sunday Oct 26, 2014
This episode follows directly the previous episode about being watched. Was 9/11 an inside job? Nope. Is Alex Jones the savior we are all looking for? Definitively not. He is a clueless fear monger who is leader of the whack jobs who stand at busy intersections trying to make you believe that the U.S. government exists specifically for some nefarious means.

Episode 34: Welcome To The Beach
Sunday Oct 05, 2014
Sunday Oct 05, 2014
The "beach" in this particular case is not necessarily a good thing. It is a place where broadcasters wind up when their services are no longer required. A broadcaster will often find him/her self "on the beach" when the station they are working for flips formats. It is something that happens fairly often and when it does, it affects the lives of not only those who are fans of said station, but also those who work there. It just happened here in Memphis at one of the stations and in this episode, Ric talks about the theories behind format flipping how it can work and what ultimately happens when this form of station management occurs.
