Episode 83: Let's Go Shopping

If Facebook was an actual physical place, Ric set foot in this "place". Along the way, he also found himself in a shopping mall that was at one time one of the busiest places around. Times have changed. For better or worse? Online consumerism has taken the lead. People being people and all, there is a noticeable void except for the one place that is the physical equivalent of Facebook. It's desperate, sad and kind of terrifying.

People make shocking statements all the time. Sometimes they make those statements without using their mouths. Sometimes, these people pull a gun and shoot people. On live TV no less. Thanks to the internet and social media, we as a society are inundated with information. Good and bad. A lot of it not even worth anyone's time. Nevertheless, we have to sift through all of this on a moment to moment basis. This gets tiring. When we get tired of this, then we all get a little jumpy. In this episode, Ric tells you how to cope. It is simply this, breathe.

Social media seems to bring out the worst in people. When you look through your news feed, you will often see posts from your friend's friends. You aren't friends with them for a reason. They would have you believe you are doing it wrong.

The bottom line is the simple fact there may be just too much hate in our world.

The whole "infotainment" thing that is the basis behind media coverage of certain events. The sad fact is that is neither informative nor entertaining. Aside from watching the local anchor man drunkly ramble through his scripts.

Every day of your life is gamble. Almost everything we do at every waking moment is a matter of chance. The exception to the rule is when we are pretty educated in our choices that we make regarding any activity we engage in. This is especially true when you are actually gambling. In this episode, Ric went to a casino. He didn't win, didn't lose much but he hit the jackpot when it came to people watching.
